What's been going on

Quandary was a success. It was my debut as a director. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. My actors were fantastic. As for the other plays, there were very good. I'm gonna miss holding rehearsals. But alas, one must move on to other activities in life...

Such as the World Bank photo contest. I mentioned a few entries back that I joined this photo contest with the theme of "Making Growth Work For the Poor". And yes, I was one of the 15 finalists :D A couple of weeks ago, I think, I attended the awarding ceremony at their office. Free food, of course and the checks were to be released. Goodie! Anyway, I had a blast with Abby, Camille, Herb, and Raffy while we pigged out on free food and poke fun at one the development marketing winners. More of this to come in my Multiply rant blog.

For the past week, I've been squeezing Christmas shopping/Christmas presents making in between papers, classes, and research topic proposals. Having two research subjects really blows. I've probably heard the whole lecture on citation 4-5 times in my life. Anyway, I just have to share that I went to Quiapo all by myself one morning. It was quite an experience I'd definitely want to do again.

And of course, Christmas shopping must come to a culmination: Christmas parties! Thus far, I've only (sort of) attended three: Bodega, Block H, and Hum Chritmas parties. For the first two, I never really got to the fun part/s since I had to leave early. Sucks because seeing all the pictures just reminds me of how much I'm still treated like I'm 16. Although, I got to stay a little late for the hum party (which was last night, and which was fun too).

Those are basically what's been going on in my life the past few weeks. And now, I am on Christmas vacation. But that doesn't mean I get days off from work. Sigh. But at least I've had my share of Christmas fun, and I know there will be more in the coming days. Yay!
